Enhancing policing with body worn cameras
Recently, Cross Camera Controls had the privilege of working with Axis Communications and the Town of Billerica, MA to implement an upgraded body worn camera system, complete with automation integration to improved analysis, transparency, and public safety.
[The Billerica Police Department] worked with Axis partner Cross Camera Controls Inc. to design an integrated system connecting body worn cameras, dispatch, and video management workflows. This automation ultimately enables:
- Faster evidence retrieval.
- Accurate retention scheduling.
- Reduced administrative workload.
- Improved records processing.
“I’m really happy with the CAD integration,” Chief Frost says, describing it as a “game changer.”
“That’s a big, big step in making it easier for our officers to get their work done and not having to be slowed down by categorization.”
